The project investigates the energy performance of an office/gallery building when we shift its location from Cairo to Jaipur. The design and the operation of the building is aiming to create a healthy and comfortable interior environment, following the “box into box” strategy thus creating an enclosed protected condition. The main facade of the building is made from a brick perforated pattern in order to ensure the necessary daylight while it protects the interior from the solar gain. A series of test are made focusing on energy consumption and comfort. The final output achieves the majority of the tasks with the addition of solar panels.
